English

Abstract:
This study was conducted to identify factors affecting the promotion of global standard-based academic leadership. The research employed a qualitative meta-synthesis methodology. The statistical population included all articles, research studies, and theses published in the relevant field between 2010-2023 (equivalent to 1392-1403 SH). Through purposive and comprehensive sampling, 405 studies were initially identified. After screening, 158 studies were excluded due to title inconsistency, 75 articles due to irrelevant abstracts, and 83 articles due to content misalignment with the research subject, resulting in 46 studies for final analysis. Data were analyzed using the Strauss and Corbin model through three coding stages: open, axial, and selective.

The results revealed that factors such as communication, leadership inspiration, team-building capability, strategic vision, personal characteristics, performance evaluation, and empowerment of faculty members and university staff constitute the most fundamental factors affecting the promotion of world-class academic leadership. All leading global universities have prioritized these seven key elements. Therefore, Islamic Azad University should develop necessary measures and strategic planning to actualize these components.
